Young Worker Table - SLANG

Solidarity Labor Action for the Next Generation (SLANG)
Our mission is to empower young workers from all Unions by serving as the connective tissue for workers regardless of Union status, providing tools to organize within their workplaces, and educating them to become effective advocates for their Unions. We are committed to fighting for economic justice and equity, engaging in open dialogue about work-related issues beyond political affiliations, and advocating for a world where workers' rights are a bipartisan priority. As an active force in Colorado, we strive to unite different Unions, fostering solidarity and eliminating internal conflicts to achieve a collective strength.

What we’re working on
Our first and current campaign is to bring Labor History and Education to schools across Colorado. Work is among the few, key pillars to our success and yet there is no official curriculum or requirement to teach work education, history or readiness to upcoming generations. Traditionally, in moments where labor education and history is known and applied, individual and community satisfaction and prosperity follows. We believe that bringing this education to students is not only imperative for our collective well being, but an essential path toward strengthening and lifting up generations that come after us.
