Denver City Municipal Collective Bargaining

Even though every other major peer city to Denver ((Albuquerque, Boston, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Seattle and more) already has collective bargaining rights, nearly ten thousand City and County of Denver workers do not.  City workers- like trash collectors, social workers, and librarians have been excluded from the collective bargaining rights that Fire, Police, and Deputy Sheriffs have had for decades.

It’s time for change! Teamsters, CWA, SEIU, Working Families Party, and a growing coalition of labor and community organizations are working on a November ballot initiative that will allow voters to approve collective bargaining for City and County of Denver workers.
