Trump’s executive order stripping the collective bargaining rights of 700,000 federal workers is the most blatant attack against workers’ rights in modern history. The Colorado AFL-CIO will not stand by and allow Trump to trample on the rights of our union members without a fight. Collective bargaining helps resolve conflicts early, reduces costly litigation, improves retention, and boosts morale— all of which supports better and stronger public service. Without union representation, employees, especially whistleblowers and veterans, will lose vital protection from retaliation and political interference. Presidents from both parties—Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama—have upheld the right of federal workers to have union representation. We will not let this union-busting president take our rights. The AFGE and the labor movement are not going anywhere.
